Apple roses- Ružice sa jabukama u lisnatom testu

I adore eating apples in all ways, especially combined with cinnamon :) Since I was little my mom was preparing often an apple pie or apple fritters, and those days the whole house perfumed as cinnamon...what a joy for me and my little sister. Happy days! :) This is why even today when I'm all grown up I'm constantly searching for new recipes which includes apples. Here is one of the most beautiful recipe in my opinion.

Ingredients:

-1 package of puff pastry

-4 apples

-a few teaspoons of brown sugar

-a bit of margarine

-as much as you like of cinnamon

-1 egg white

-a few drops of lemon

Preparation:

Cut the apples in half, remove the core and cut the apples in thin slices, do not take away the skin because it will give them color. Place the sliced apples in the bowl with a few drops of lemon, so that they won't change color.

In a pan put a bit of margarine, let it melt and then add sugar, cinnamon and finally apple slices. Fry them on a small fire for about 3 minutes, to make them slightly softer and easy to roll. Leave them aside to cool down and then you can use them. Take the puff pastry and stretch it with the rolling pin as much as possible. Cut the dough in strips, each about 2 x 9 inch (5 x 22 cm).

Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).

Arrange the apple slices on the dough, overlapping one another. Make sure the top of the slices sticks a little out of the strip. Sprinkle a bit more with cinnamon. Fold up the bottom part of the dough.

Starting from one end roll the dough and seal the edge at the end. Place the apple roses in a muffin cup or paper cups. Brush the roses with an egg white and put in the preheated oven. Bake at 375°F (190°C) for about 40-45 minutes, until they're fully cooked. Sprinkle with powdered sugar. Enjoy!

Kada ste poređali kriške jabuke dužinom trake lisnatog testa, presavijte ga celom dužinom, tj preklopite ka gore, i urolajte ga u ružicu. Posuti šećerom u prahu i uživati u sjajnom ukusu. Prijatno!
