Chocolate banana bread - Čokoladni banana hleb

Outside it's raining since the early morning, as if it was winter and not spring like the calendar on the wall says. The clouds have covered the sky completely and I start to feel the need for some tasty and comforting food, to make my mood a bit better. I'm thinking of something that is quick to prepare and also worth of baking- I've got it!! I'm gonna make a Chocolate banana bread!!

I know it's not a typical recipe for Balkan, but this sweet has so little calories and can stay fresh for days!! How incredible is that?

Before I start writing the recipe I wanted to share with you how I discovered banana bread.

Firstly, I have heard of banana bread, but didn't find that tempting to make it, comparing to Štrudla s makom or apple pie...I would always decide to make apple pie instead.

However, one day I had only bananas in my home, a few eggs and flour, so it was the right occasion to try to make a banana bread and see for myself why it's so great like other people are saying.

I have to admit I loved it from the first bite, and since that moment on I've learned not to judge recipes too quickly.

Here's what you need to make it:

- 3 bananas

- 100g of yellow sugar

- 60g of margarine, plus extra to grease the baking tray

- approximately 175g of no gluten flour

- a pinch of cinnamon

- 2 eggs

- 100g of dark chocolate

- a half of teaspoon of baking soda

- a handful of walnuts

- icing sugar

Preparation:

Smash bananas using a fork in one bowl, then add the eggs and mix all nicely. In another bowl put margarine with yellow sugar and mix it well with the wire, and then add the melted chocolate. Incorporate the mix of margarine and sugar into the bowl with bananas and eggs, stir slowly until it's formed a unique mixture.

In the end mix all dry ingredients- flour, baking soda and cinnamon, and after it add it to the previous mixture, add walnuts and stir all nicely.

Grease the baking tray with margarine, then pour the mix and make it even on the edges.

Bake on 200 degrees for about 20-25 minutes in the preheated oven. Check if it's done using a stick.

When the bread is baked leave it to cool down for half an hour and then you can cut it and sprinkle with icing sugar if you please. Enjoy!

 

Napolju pada kiša od ranog jutra, kao da je i dalje zima, a ne proleće kako kalendar na zidu kaže. Oblaci su u potpunosti pokrili nebo, nema daška svetla tako da lagano počinjem da osećam potrebu za nekom ukusnom i utešnom hranom koja će popraviti moje raspoloženje.

Razmišljam o nečemu što je brzo za pripremu, a u isto vreme vredno iščekivanja- Znam šta mi je praviti!! Čokoladni banana hleb!! Znam da ovaj slatkiš nije tipičan za Balkansko podneblje, ali zato ima jako malo kalorija i ostaje svež danima!! Ako uopše opstane toliko ;) Zar ne zvuči neverovatno? Pre nego što počnem da pišem recept želela bih da podelim sa vama kako sam uopšte čula za banana hleb. Prošlo je dosta vremena kako znam za ovu poslasticu, ali uvek bih se odlučila da napravim štrudlu s makom ili lenju pitu s jabukama. Međutim, jednog dana sam imala samo banane u kući, nekoliko jaja i malo brašna, tako da je to bila prava prilika da pokušam da napravim banana hleb i proverim zašto je tako poseban. Moram da priznam da sam ga zavolela od prvog zalogaja, i od tog trenutka sam odlučila da ne sudim o receptima pre nego što ih probam.

Evo šta je potrebno za čokoladni banana hleb:

- 3 banane

- 100g žutog šećera

- 60g margarina, plus još za podmazivanje pleha

- od prilike 175g bezglutenskog brašna

- 2 jajeta

- malo cimeta

- 100g crne čokolade

- šaka oraha

- pola kašičice soda bikarbone

- po želji šećera u prahu

Priprema: Izgnječiti banane viljuškom u jednoj posudi, a zatim dodati jaja i sve lepo promešati.

U drugoj posudi staviti margarin sa žutim šećerom, umutiti dobro žicom, a zatim dodajte otopljenu čokoladu. Dodavati mešavinu margarina i šećera u posudu sa bananama i jajima, lagano mešati dok se ne formira jedinstvena smesa. Na kraju sjedinite sve suve sastojke- brašno, sodu bikarbonu i cimet, pa nakon toga dodajte u prethodnu mešavinu, stavite i orase. Sve lepo promešati. Podmažite pleh sa margarinom, zatim sipajte mešavinu i pecite na 200 stepeni oko 20-25 minuta u predhodno zagrejanoj rerni. Proverite da li je pečen uz pomoć štapića za ražnjiće. Kada je pečen ostaviti da se prohladi pola sata, pa je lak za sečenje. Po želji ga možete posuti šećerom u prahu. Prijatno!
